Co-ordinate an event
Each year parents work in teams to bring events to the school’s social calendar. Each event requires a co-ordinating team. At the AGM, events will be clearly marked where existing parents are stepping down and new parents are required for the event to continue. Such events include:
– Christmas Fair
– School Discos
– Autumn Antics
– Nearly-new Uniform Sales
– Quiz night
– Curry & Comedy night
– Summer Fair
Or create your own event or activity! 2013/14 school year saw the introduction of Polish Night and Film Night as well as a textile collection for unwanted goods.
Become a Class Representative
Being a class representative is a great way to get to know your class and central to the success of the larger events like Summer and Christmas Fairs. Ideally two or three parents work together to represent their class. Please email Lori Cappiello for more information.
All events would not be possible without parents volunteering their time to support events. Volunteering is essential to the success of the MCCA. It doesn’t matter how much or how little time you can give, helping in anyway possible makes a big difference. If you would like to volunteer your help or would like more information, then please contact us.
Join the Committee
There is a central group of mums and dads who meet once a month during term time. Ideally a cross section of parents across all year groups would be represented each year. This is where spending, fundraising and other decisions concerning MCCA activities are discussed and agreed.
Management of the Association shall be vested in a Committee consisting of the following Officers: Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary, together with the other Committee members.
Ordinary Committee Members play a vital role working alongside and supporting the Officers as well as organising events and fundraising activities.
All committee members have equal voting rights, with the exception of the Chair, who has an additional casting vote, should this be needed.
Five members of the Committee shall constitute a quorum. The size of the committee may vary from year-to-year.
If you would like to get involved, contact a committee member or attend a committee meeting or completed the volunteer form indicating how you can help.
